lyrics

I made a wager with sin, gracefully.
Letting these insects in willingly.
Burrowing beneath my skin, actually.
I choose to lose, not win.

Tactfully carrying my weight inside of a figure eight.
Posing as a priest and selling indulgences.
Desperate. Depraved.
There's no doubt that I'm not saved.
Safe from these mosquitoes that harbor infinite plague.

The journey, the quest to find all our answers has stricken us with deep, dark, flu-like cancers.
Malaria. Mass hysteria.
Shapeshift. Shock. Surrender sons to save infected areas.

There is no amount of cure to save everyone.

But I can wait just one more day.
I would prefer the antidote hastily, but I place myself behind the needs of others.
Blood is spraying out of my teeth.
Killing my enamel and making my smile unworthy.
Relishing the thought of sickness making love to me.

A pandemic has occurred.
Tainted.
Infected.
Spread it.
